A generational, family-operated small farm
We are the kind of family that wakes before dawn and stays until the sky softens into evening, hands stained with soil and hope. Balancing day jobs and building the farm up slowly!
The property was once pasture, overgrown and layered with the memories of other lives. We started by clearing invasive brush and testing the soil, reading up on cover crops and compost recipes late into the night. We repaired a large greenhouse on the land and built several hoop houses. We built raised beds with our own sawmill and created several garden plots throughout the property. Every decision has been thoughtful: which native perennials will support pollinators, which annuals will bring steady income, how to rotate beds to rebuild soil rather than strip it.
Long hours and careful planning are matched by a commitment to regenerative practices. We plant nitrogen-fixing strips and wildflower buffers, keep the ground covered through colder months, and make are own amendments from flower scraps and autumn leaves. We manage customer lists and deliveries, attend local farmers markets and juggle bookkeeping between all of it!
Our family’s labor and resourcefulness are paid back in small, steady victories such as couples choosing to adorn their wedding ceremony with our flowers, a farmer’s market table turned into repeat customers, a neighbor swapping eggs for bouquets, a local teacher ordering centerpieces for a school recital. They are patient with all our unpredicted setbacks—flooded beds after a spring storm, an unexpected crop failure-because each setback is met with problem-solving: adjusting planting dates, trying resistant varieties, and always asking what will improve the soil for next year.
We aim to create a flower farm that feeds the wider community—supplying blossoms that carry seasonality and story, offering workshops to build dried wreaths and opening our farm stand up for a small bouquet building class
Our timeline is measured in seasons rather than quarters. We celebrate the first harvest of daffodils with delight after a long cold winter. What we are building isn’t rapid expansion; it’s a slow and steady growth of beauty and healthy soil with patient hands, flowers grown with intention, and a livelihood cultivated from the ground up.
Locally grown with love and respect from our small farm to your door!
